Pistachio flowers

After enjoying some pistachio nuts, have you ever wondered what to do with those shells? Well here is a nice idea that can be combined with other mediums or used on their own!

Try and gather as many shells as possible, then you can make some pretty pistachio flowers. The more shells you use, the bigger the flower.

Starting with 4 shells, take your glue gun and glue them together. They will overlap each other a little, this is fine. Then working in circles, glue more of the shells onto each other until you have a flower that you are happy with. You can make different sizes.

I glued the flowers onto a square canvas, and then added some quilled leaves and swirls for colour and variation. The flowers can be dyed if you want to, and you can add moss or bark or anything you want to for the background.

There you have some pretty flowers after enjoying some tasty nuts!
